They offer a 7 day free trial. They do not ask for your credit card but your cell phone number to set you up an account. They later ask you for payment options if you wish to continue service. So let's take a look at the ones we know and Philo TV.

Programming saved to DVR in “My Shows” can be watched in and out of your home network.
You may select any show or channel to have access to all available programming, whether it’s available through DVR, Catch Up, or On-Demand.

DirecTV Now: Headquarters: El Segundo, CA

Now you can get Directv without the satellite dish! As exciting as that is let's see what they have to offer:

Live a Little: $35 60+ - Channels
Just Right: $50 80+ - Channels
Go Big $60 100+ - Channels

Now they offer a LOT of channels and packages. For those who like a DVR it's in the works and coming soon! You do have a few options to add some Premium channels for an additional charge. They offer 1 week free for you to try it.

NEW! TRUE CLOUD DVR BETA

Coming soon! Skip through commercials on a whim and record up to 20 hours — no bulky cable box required.

Hulu live:

Hulu is a great service but has recently added live tv to their offerings. So here is what you can get.

$39.99 a month and you get 50+ live and on demand channels .
They also offer  Hulu without Live TV starting at only $7.99/month & Live TV Only plan for $38.99/month.  Their live TV services is still in Beta testing. They do offer a 1 week free trial. Hulu does however offer DVR services.

Absolutely! Never miss another episode, game or movie. When you subscribe to Hulu with Live TV you get 50 hours of Cloud DVR storage to record your shows and watch them later on any of your supported devices. If that’s not enough for your TV needs, add Enhanced Cloud DVR to increase your video storage to 200 hours. With Enhanced Cloud DVR you can record multiple shows at the same time, fast-forward through any content in your DVR (including commercials!), and stream your recordings anywhere, on any of your supported devices.
 YouTube Live:

Now YouTube is a  huge giant in entertainment and decided to get in on the Live Streaming service as well. At this time it appears they only offer one package:

$40 for 50+ channels

They do offer the option to add extra's for an additional fee. Looks like you can share your subscription as well. They do offer a free trial as well. For those who need or like DVR it looks like it is included in the price.

You can record as many programs as you want at the same time, without ever running out of storage space. We’ll even keep each recording for 9 months. Stream from your library anywhere in the U.S.

Now while all these are great options and I do urge you to look through because everyone has different needs for their viewing habits. So we go back to the start when I stumbled Across Philo Tv while looking through the others to see who offered A&E so I could watch #livepd. After reading through I decided to try it since it's one of the ones I haven't. Let's see what they have to offer.

Philo TV : Headquarters: San Francisco, CA

So they offer some cheaper package options. Here is what they have to offer:

37 Channels for $16
46 Channels for $20

They do offer a 7 day free trial where they do not ask for your Credit Card but they do ask for your cell phone number. Philo is available on Roku, Iphone, Mac, Windows and Android at this time. They do offer a DVR service:

Yes, you can save your favorite shows to watch up to 30 days later.
I will say that since signing up and using Philo I haven't had one issue and the picture has been crystal clear. One thing I did notice about this service that I haven't with the other ones is they offer Philo for education and according to their site it's already used in about 50 universities.

I'm sure the Streaming battles don't end here but I was excited to find a services that offered what I was looking for and it was under $20 a month. Your needs may be different than mine and feel free to comment on your favorite services and why.
